North Way Family,

May we never forget to remember.  Today marks 19 years since the tragedy of September 11th.  More on this in a bit …

Here are a few things to note in regard to our regathering as a church:

  • Fight The Drift Zoom In  Last weekend we wrapped up a four part series on spiritual drift.  In reality, there are more than 4 areas we can tend to drift.  If you would like to extend this conversation, check out these additional conversations where we zoom in on drift in our family, our weekday life, and in the church in general.  Check it out here.
  • Regathering in Person – This weekend our Wexford, Sewickley Valley, Robinson and Beaver Valley campuses will be hosting in person services on Sunday at 10am.  Please remember to register as this helps those campus teams best prepare for a safe and effective environment for everyone attending.  You can register here.

Sandy Dahl, wife of Flight 93 pilot Jason Dahl, said this about 9/11, “If we learn nothing else from this tragedy, we learn that life is short and there is no time for hate.”
19 years … have we already forgotten to remember that hate has no place in our lives?

In this challenging political, health and social season we are living through, may we keep Ephesians 4:29 in mind as we speak and type with those we know and those we do not: “Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.

Rather than speaking ill and cultivating hate, may we instead be people of prayer. Prayer is our lifeline to hope.  It’s also a path away from hate.
